- Increase performance and boost posture with this simple leg balance pose.
- This mindful movement is a fun way to measure single leg balance, foot strength and posture all at once!
Perform:
- Incorporate into warm up and cool downs
- Practice daily to improve foot and leg strength
- Incorporate modifications by holding onto something lightly
Tips:
- Engage your core and keep your weight on the ball of your foot
- Lift your heel off the floor a small amount and increase the lift as balance improves
- Actively use your leg muscles as one. Especially your leg muscles, squeeze your glutes (butt)
Instructions:
- Perform barefoot
- Allow 1 min for practice trials
- After practice trials perform the test
- Test begins when your heel lifts off the floor
- Perform three trials and record your best attempt
- Repeat the on opposite leg
